Formed in 2001, SilverIP was born on the premise of leading technology paired with concierge-level customer service, and specializes in providing ultra-fast Internet to luxury residential and commercial buildings, counting many of Chicago and Milwaukee’s premiere and iconic properties as clients.
Author began advising SilverIP in 2020, supporting the company’s growth by developing a pipeline of acquisition opportunities, augmenting talent at the C Suite and Board levels, and implementing operational best practices.
In recognition of the productive advisory partnership, the co-founders invited Author to provide structured minority equity financing in 2021 to support their financial and strategic objectives.
In June of 2022, Author Capital and SilverIP’s cofounders merged the business with its closest competitor in Chicago to form the largest Multi Dwelling Unit-focused ISP in the region, serving more than 65,000 residential units in 880 buildings throughout the Chicago and Milwaukee markets.
